Global Warming and Climate change are a major issue for the world to face currently.There are so many facets to it and so many of the scientific fraternity are still completely unsure as to whether it exists or not. There are so many reasons why its all false and many people like Al Gore have vested interests to keep the lie going but there are also now so many people that have been indoctrinated into it and the science has taken a back seat to all the lies and rhetoric on both sides of the equation.

Some people who have studied global issues would say there was no such thing as global warming and it is all a big hoax. However, others disagree and believe that since the industrial revolution, we are having a negative affect on our environment.

The Greenhouse effect is the relationship between the earth and the sun. The sun provides the earth with the heat and energy it needs and the earth releases back that energy into space.

The greenhouse effect comes into play as the gases in the earth trap that energy so that it cannot be released back into space therefore, warming the earths environment.

The greenhouse effect is a natural process and vital to our survival, without it, the earth would be too cold to live in.

Gases such as Methane, Carbon dioxide and water vapour all trap energy from the sun and enable the warming of the earth.

It is commonly known that plants provide Carbon dioxide, but not so commonly known that plants also remove carbon dioxide.

This is because, when a plant dies and is buried into the earth, these plants become fossil fuel which is coal and oil.

When coal and oil is burned, this then removes the carbon dioxide from the air around it.

200 years ago, before machinery was invented and cars filled our streets, global warming wasn't an issue.

The natural gases which came from the earth would trap energy to warm the earth, however, since the industrial revolution, more gases are being produced, which means more energy is trapped and result is global warming.

Activists and researches cannot agree as to whether or not humans are causing global warming, but I think we can all agree that when something unnatural occurs, it affects the natural.

If we are producing more gases than what is known as natural, then you would expect that this would have an affect on our environment, but whether or not this affect is causing global warming, well, we will have to leave that down to the scientists.

It is said that in the last century the earth has warmed by 1%, although this is not a massive amount, it still could be an unnatural 1% which would have an effect on the earth's climate.

The truth of the matter is, the earth works in a certain way that even the best scientists in the world cannot fathom it. We can never assume we know it all just as we cannot 100% rely on what we already believe we know as there could be many unknown factors that have not been taken into account.

It is natural to believe that we are having some kind of affect on our environment in comparison to 200 years ago, but is the cause of global warming? I guess we couldn't say either way, but what we do know is that we need to keep it in mind and do what we can to help our environment.

No its not and if we dont all do something soon the earths going to change forever. Al Gore's movie"an inconvenient truth" says it all.

David and micheal are nuts i believe that global warming is effecting us, not as bad as people say but it is effecting us slowly. Maybe if you two would wake up pay more attention to the world around you, you would realize that it isn't a hoax.

WOW to say that 200 years ago global warming wasnt an issue is extremely stupid. global warming has always been an issue since it is a naturally occurring cycle. how stupid can you be to think that humans started the first global warming? wow.

Whether or not it exists isn't a problem for me. I feel it's more about conserving resources for human consumption and to delay the day when we have to sort through all our waste for new materials.

Allright, I am not going to believe anyone untill you can stop contridicting each other. I can see points to all of the statements but this leaves me back to stage one. I need more unbiased information before I can believe or dis-believe

If anyone would stop and do some research they would find that the Earth’s temperature has been DROPPING since 1998. We have NO SUNSPOT ACTIVITY which historically means lower temps! A large majority of the scientists quoted in the U.N. report didn’t agree with the final report.Can you say “cherry picking”? Many Climatoligists agree that we are in the begining of a COOLING PERIOD due to the lack of solar activity. The warmest decade in the 20th centurt wasn’t the 1990s, it was the 1930s! Can any one say “Dust Bowl” or do they even teach that in school any more? Read the “Grapes of Wrath”! We have mindless morons leading us to destruction. By the way, how much money has Al Gore made off of Global Warming and “Carbon Credits” so far? Any guesses? Go to Scienceandpublicpolicy.org. Learn what the politicians aren’t telling you!!! Why was the Earth warmer in the years of 300 A.D.-1100 A.D.? Why was the Earth in a “Little Ice Age” from about 1200 A.D. to appproximately 1860 A.D. You can’t blame cars or coal fueled powere plants! They didn’t exist! Folks, open your brains! There are 8 billion people more or less that exhale CO2 every second. One last thing, ice core samples show that CO2 increases FOLLOW temperature increases, not the other way around!!!! Our current CO2 levels are 386 Parts per Million! Do the Math! Thats way less than 1%.

I don't understand why you're all arguing about it when none of you can prove anything either way. Global Warming or not, we are still polluting the Earth at a profound rate and even if Global Warming did turn out to be a "hoax", it seems inevitable considering the way we're all headed. Like it or not, we ALL have to get our acts together.

goosh if people actually opened their eyes they'd know global warming is not a hoax, its happening everyday like Lisa said loonger HOTTER summers and it takes forever to snow in winter.
